How is a teacher's score calculated?

One monthly number per teacher, with the full history kept for appraisal.

Can a teacher game the score by getting the strongest batch?

What does 'needs attention' mean for a student?

Accepted Answer

A student is compared with their own early-months baseline, not the class. Three consecutive tests below baseline flags them to their teacher and the owner, and a mentor can be assigned in one tap. The flag clears itself when the line turns.

Do teachers see each other's scores?

A teacher sees their own score, their rank within their wing, and their own students. They do not see other teachers' scores, fees, or other batches. The owner sees everything.

What are points and rewards?

Students earn points for weekly test results, attendance streaks, practice sessions and behaviour you define. Points are visible to the student and the parent and can be redeemed for rewards your institute sets. It's the positive side of keeping watch.

We run on Excel and WhatsApp groups. How hard is switching?

We import your students, batches, fee plans and balances from your existing sheets on the onboarding call. Most single-branch institutes are live the same day; multi-branch within a week.

Yes. Teachers mark attendance and marks from any phone browser. Parents use the portal on their phone. There is nothing to install.

You do. Export everything as spreadsheets at any time. If you leave, we delete your data on request per our data-deletion policy.

Do you sell or share parent data?

Never. Parent numbers are used only for the messages you switch on, from your own WhatsApp number.

Yours. Drishtaa connects to your existing WhatsApp Business number via Meta's Coexistence programme, so staff keep using the phone as before and parents see the number they already have saved.

A 60-student single-subject institute and a 1,500-student multi-branch academy shouldn't pay the same. We quote once, on the demo call, based on your size — and the price is locked while you stay.

No. Never. Some platforms take 1.5–4% of every fee you collect. Drishtaa charges a flat subscription; your fees are yours.

Can I run more than one branch?

Yes. Each branch has its own receipts, batches and staff; the owner sees the roll-up. Branch admins see only their branch.

Which boards do you support?

CBSE, GSEB, ICSE, IB, and custom boards. Wings let you group batches for fair teacher comparison — a Std 8 teacher isn't ranked against a NEET faculty.

What if a receipt is entered wrongly?

Corrections and cancellations go through an approval trail and appear in the owner's brief by name. Late corrections are shown apart from today's takings.
